Judging Criteria

  • Science- Bitrate
Your score is the average of their bit rates over the 60-second evaluation window. Each grader gets a brief familiarization period, then one scored run. This is a first-session evaluation—the game must be quickly learnable by a generally smart person.
  • e184- Output Quality
text accuracy, ranking quality, or semantic output quality evaluation should match the target representation clearly
  • e184- Robustness + absention
works under noise, motion, short sessions, or missing channels when relevant handles bad segments through confidence or abstention
  • e184- Generalization
performance across subjects, sessions, conditions, or datasets when relevant not just one narrow train/test split
  • e184- Practical usability
latency, responsiveness, calibration burden, or interaction loop handled clearly design reflects real deployment constraints when relevant
  • e184- Clarity + reproducibility
clear output contract interpretable pipeline, justified tradeoffs, and understandable failure modes
  • Blue Sky- Scalability / Commercial Viability
Clear path to market, identified customers, future milestones
  • Blue Sky - Technical Innovation
Novel approaches, creative use of multimodal data, architectural insights
  • Blue Sky- Scientific Rigour
    Sound methodology, appropriate validation, reproducibility
  • Blue Sky- Presentation Quality
Clear communication, compelling narrative, demo quality
  • Blue Sky- Feasibility and Execution
Working prototype, realistic scope, code quality
